Aqua-Traxx

Tape and Drip Line - Aqua-Traxx

Applications
Aqua-TraXX® tape is ideal for irrigating:
– Shallow rooted row crops
(Strawberries, Lettuce, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Celery).
– Moderate to deep rooted row crops
(Tomatoes, Melons, Watermelons, Cucumbers, Sweet
pepper, Pumpkins, Cotton).
– Perennial row crops:
(Artichokes, Asparagus, Tobacco).
– Vineyards, Orchards, Nursery.
– Officinal crops.
Aqua-TraXX® is generally ideal for irrigating crops that are advantaged by the maintenance of a dry foliage.
Features
Aqua-TraXX® is stronger, longer lasting, more efficient
and more reliable. Resilience and versatility favour easy
installation (saving time and work) with less risk of
damaging the product.
Aqua-TraXX® is easy to recognise by its double blue stripe.
Aqua-TraXX® is constructed in a single extrusion. No seams, burrs or welding.
Highly resistant to blockage. Wide section outlet made by laser. Over 200 inlet holes for each single dripper (30cm spacing) ensure a constant output and uniform water flow.
The path configuration is so precise that it gives an excellent Cv and a true turbulent flow.
Aqua-TraXX® is available in following versions:
– 1,14 l/h @0,7 bar
– 1,41 l/h @0,7 bar
– 0,57 l/h @0,7 bar
– 0,64 l/h @0,7 bar
– 0,87 l/h @0,7 bar
Installation
The dauble "blue" stripe must face upwards for
warranty validity.
Aqua-TraXX® can be buried, laid under black plastic film or installed on the ground.
During installation it must not be pulled, cut, perforated or scuffed.
If the soil is infested with insects which can damage the tube then some form of soil treatment must be considered.
To prevent blockages, flush out the main and secondary lines before connecting Aqua-TraXX®.
Buried Aqua-TraXX® should be pressurised within 24 hours to prevent flow restriction by the soil compaction.
Only use water soluble fertilisers and flush the lines of any deposits before terminating irrigation.
It is advisable to mount vacuum breaker valves on the submains to avoid the possibility of impurities being sucked back through the outlets of the Aqua-TraXX® during shutdown of the system.
Suggestions for filtering
For water rich in organic substances it is recommended that sand filters with a grain size of 0,5 - 1,2 mm are used followed by mesh or disc safety filters, in all cases. Mesh or disc filters with a filtering capacity corresponding to the type of Aqua-Traxx® used could be sufficient in the case of well water.
For greater detail about the mesh/micron correlation please contact our engineering office.
Futher information concerning the filtration can also be found
in the Aqua-Traxx® manual.
New flow rate dripper
- flow rate 0,87 l/h
- flow rate 0,64 l/h
Wall thickness: 6, 8 and 10 mil.
Aqua-TraXX® 15 cm flow rate 0,87 l/h has same flow rate for meter of the AquaTraxx® 20 cm
with flow rate 1,14 l/h
Aqua-TraXX® 15 cm flow rate 0,64 l/h has same flow rate for meter of the AquaTraxx® 20 cm with flow rate 0,86 l/h
Aqua-TraXX® 30 cm flow rate 0,64 l/h has same flow rate for meter of the AquaTraxx® 40 cm with flow rate 0,86 l/h
Advantages
Reduced distances between water outlet, increase distribution uniformity on high percentage of sand ground
Possibility to insert in the old system the new spacing/flow rate without any design data changes
I.e. It is possible to replace Aqua-TraXX® 20 cm - 0,86 l/h with
Aqua-TraXX® 15 cm - 0,64 l/h without any flow rate variation
on each line.
